The mask wears off

Oh dear man of cloth
Intercede for the great walls shall tumble
And pardon my wrongdoings
For they were unwitting.

Time out of mind
I continually reminisce
And comfabulate
On our dear old memories of pleasure

The moment of a couple
We both chose
Rents my heart to pieces
I can only lie in my weeping love grass and diligently sob.

I took you for granted
Let the fangs of society
Tear down your walls
And still you stood tall for me
Yet l never paid a penny.

I ventured into new grounds
Oh how they temper with my foundations
Crackling and dismantling my poles
The City is on its knees

But Oh mighty Exegete
I am still the great City Paris
I conceal my agonies n cries
With a mask l wear daylong

But Oh dear clergyman
The masks wears off
It can no longer hold on
Verity of the soul shall soon be revealed.

I am pouring my heart
Spoling my page
Feeling my demise grow nigh
As l witness the fall of Paris.

*#l feel my demise grow nigh. Be ready to gather for the great City will perish.*
