Broken Wings
Beside the dark sidetrack, in that slender alley, she crouched beside her deceased mother,
Under those cement ceilings and the blurry weather, she spared not a tear,
Her wings demolished and she fell into the crevice she loathed,
Her world was once swirled and now it lay beneath that superficial tomb.

The blinding essence of hers broke away,
Her feathers were shredded off of her,
She stays muffled throughout the midday,
Once she had her mother, once she was a gifted daughter.

Her wings convened their demise under the heavy twilight,
She sat blank, watching the blood wash onto the stringent concrete,
Her mother had the conclusive smile and it felt alright,
The devastation was dispersed, and all she could do was not cry.

The dawn rose ahead to a morning insight,
Her wings lay, so irregular and fragile,
She surveyed for a lost soul simply like hers,
To grab them up and rebuild them back to her shoulders.

"We all yearn for a companion, that not only understands the emotions behind your eyes but also, takes them as their own."
