Hear My Cry LORD
'O Lord, my God, I think upon Thee all the day long, and my soul doth yearn for the sound of Thy voice. My heart is weighed with conviction, for Thy Spirit dwelleth within me, and I am ever mindful of Thy mercy, Thy love, and Thy longsuffering toward me. In the days of my folly, I heeded not Thy counsel, neither did I walk in Thy ways. My heart was hardened, and I turned from Thee, O Lord.

In mine afflictions, I came to know sorrow, yea, I was brought low in despair. I walked in the shadow of shame, and my soul knew not peace. Yet, Thou, O Lord of Hosts, the King of Heaven's Armies, didst look upon me from Thy throne on high, and with patience Thou didst endure my wayward heart.

Thou art He who upholdeth all things, who giveth breath unto the earth, the Mighty One who formed the heavens and the earth by Thy Word. Yet Thou, O King of Zion, didst behold me in my low estate, and with great mercy didst Thou reach down unto me.

O my God, look upon me now with favor, for Thou hast drawn me out of the pit, and set my feet upon a rock. Let me not return unto the depths of my own destruction. Thou wast with me in the hour of darkness, and by Thy hand alone was I delivered. O Lord, let my lips ever sing Thy praises, though my words be but dust, and my heart faileth me. Hear the cry of mine innermost being, O Lord, for I am unworthy to speak Thy name.

I long to feel Thy love once more, but mine iniquities have made my heart as stone. O God, I beseech Thee, hear the groaning of my spirit, for I have no words to utter. Let my brokenness be as incense before Thee, and let my tears speak when my tongue doth falter.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts. Thou art my refuge, my Savior, my God. Hear the song within me, though it be faint and frail, for it singeth only unto Thee.

Thou, O Faithful One, hast delivered me from the chains of mine addiction, and through much suffering, Thou hast set me free. Give me words, O Lord, that I might confess mine iniquities before Thee. Grant unto me a broken and contrite heart, O Lord, my God, and hold me in Thy hand, for without Thee, I am blind.

Mine heart is heavy with sorrow, and mine iniquities are ever before me. I am as nothing, O Lord, a vessel of clay in Thine hands. Thou alone art worthy, O God, and I am but dust.

Thou upholdest all things by Thy great wisdom, and by Thy power, the very atoms are held together.

Thou seest all evil, and every sorrow of mankind is before Thee. Thou knowest the pain of the afflicted, and the cries of the oppressed are heard by Thee. Thou beholdest the blood of the innocent, the slaughter of children, O God, beyond my understanding.

Thou art righteous, O King of old, and in Thy justice, Thou shalt return with fury. With a sword in Thine hand, Thou shalt judge the earth, and all those who hate Thee without cause shall be cast down.

Thou hast called unto them, offering the waters of life freely, but they have despised Thee. They have chosen death, and in their rebellion, they have spurned Thy goodness and Thy mercy. Let their own rejection be their condemnation, and let them be cast into outer darkness, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

They love their sin more than life itself, O Lord, and my heart is wroth with them. Yet, O God, I beseech Thee, give me a heart to love those who hate Thee, that I might declare unto them Thy mercies.

O Lord my God, the world is deaf to Thy voice. Lead me to those whose hearts are open, that I may tell them of Thy sacrifice, of the pain Thou didst endure, that they might have life eternal in Thy presence.

Yea, let them kneel before Thee, O Lord, and give Thee praise forevermore. O my God, the Author of my breath, we long for Thy return, for in Thee alone is our hope."
