Lovers' Cull
Drowning in love was my whole
A peripatetic leaf of last fall
Undulating, as heart heaves, desolate
Still answering love's insidious call
Floating on lake of 'love once there'
It xertz from a nearby tear-fall
Bathing in it's dolorous chimes
Body in its own sorrows liquefy
Culling is a necessity, nods, one above all
Of lovers who's love would never say die
Buzzards hover, baffled in a muted cry
Souls bereft bodies, from the brine, fly
