People don't die they're just borrowed
they're taken out of focus and view
if you ever need a departed loved one
they will always be there for you.

I know life is always changing
and nothing stays the same
there's always a beacon in the darkness
constantly calling out my name.

Life can be like a fairground ride
having plenty of it's own ups and downs
not everyones bornto be a leader
remember every circus has its clowns.

Following the steps of my forefathers
using their experience and knowledge
I'm from the teaching of hard knocks
never made it to school or college.

The world is turning on it's single axis
and the four seasons quickly pass me by
I often think about my own challenges
and I shiver then hold my head up high.

Fleeting images of years gone by
bottled messages washed ashore
burning embers of my past mistakes
departed loved ones at heavens door.

Climbing that staircase to heaven
seeing familiar faces from the past
finally feeling at one with myself
I'm eventually at peace at last.

So remember those dearly departed
please think of them day to day
for people don't die they're just borrowed
and they never really go away.
