Excuse me ! Oh priest !
Don't you call me an Athiest !
Except that -
whenever I pray to Him,
He preys on me !
It was once I prayed
and asked Him for a lift !
Lo and behold -
He lifted my mother and
lifted my father !
And, after lifting all my
near and dear ones ;
He left me alone in
this world to drift !
Then, He gave me a
graveyard-shift as a gift
and, in doing so his action
was swift !
The next time I prayed ,
I asked Him for a break !
Lo and behold -
the roof of my house came
crashing down on my bed
which triggered an accident
in which I broke my neck
and broke my head !
For months long, I
was confined to bed !
I lost all my money and
found myself broke instead !
Now, I wonder
what would have happened
had I asked Him for a name
or perhaps for a fame..!
Would He have framed and
put some wreaths around
my portrait or would
He have blamed and framed !
Yes, perhaps that's how
He would have tamed !
Accept that, Oh priest !
He mocks our sufferings
and enjoys the feast !
Concerned about us
nowadays He's the least !
