[the weight of life]
[a #writco.in poem]
If not I, then who?
Who must bear the pain,
Suffering, sorrow, and sadness each day?
Who must navigate clinics and hospitals,
Confronting loss, with a heavy heart?
If not I, then who?
Who must find joy and pride,
Embracing life with a sense of purpose?
Who must live with ease, like a carefree child,
Untroubled and serene?
In this world, I toil and struggle,
Only to have what's mine stolen away.
What kind of world am I living in?
If not I, then who?
