So what truly makes life worth living?
Is there a real set hard and fast rule?
What about the joy of simply giving
Or being able to act the people’s fool?

Is hard work and being dedicated
The way to enjoy the fruits of life?
What about the ones medicated
And happily staying out of strife?

How can you truly enjoy life at all
If everything is about discipline?
Don’t you just want to have a ball
Here on earth as a carefree citizen?

What does make living not be a crime?
Is it to love or be loved by someone?
Is it sharing intimate passages of time
Or just having good old fashioned fun?

Can you go beyond your comfort zone
If you live your life well regimented?
Is exploring things previously unknown,
Worth the life instead of being lamented?

We all go through various stages in our lives,
With things that make our life worthwhile.
Certainly parts of life can be tossed in archives
But it doesn’t mean all your life has been vile.

Do you knock people with some disability
Saying their life is too hard and not worth it?
Ask the carers who do love and with nobility
Care for those, who some say are not a fit.

For what life certainly is worth for one
Is different for somebody else around.
Humbleness and gratitude is second to none
Making the essence of life easier to be found.

Be it a grandparent who lives for the grandkid,
Or someone’s heart beating to a tune of love,
Being funny and “breaking the rules” doesn’t forbid
Making life worth it, just like seeing the stars above.

We all judge sometime whether our life is worth living,
Pondering about dedication, hard work and discipline.
It’s not always about that but rather what you love giving,
Being loved and dosing on laughter, the best medicine.
