Or maybe I don't want to
Prefer you flow freely
Like I do.

Prefer it if I could catch in a silver net;
Every thought,
Plate and serve it up for you to feast on,
But kind of unsure if you would stick around long,
If you tasted every flavour in my song

And I'm tired of having my time spent,
On another lesson in discernment,
Exhausted; still gotta pay rent,
I listen to you with my heart not my head.

Normal for you? Could be
But it's all new to me,
Unsure of what to believe,
Can you really handle my honesty?

And the pendulum swings,
As time flies.

Either too naughty,
Or too nice,
But Goldilocks needs it just right,
Don't want to stay up all night,
You're providing a critical amount of light,
Switch you off at my bedside,
But you're still running through my mind.
