THE POET
If I decide to compose a song for you
You will misunderstand my muse
Thinking I'm falling for you,
And that might be true
If only you can blame it on the muse.

I write from the place of fantasy
Where reality is a fallacy
A dry well of hypocrisy you labor not on
When there is Apollo pool to drink from.

If I decide to compose a song for you
You might be lost from your lover
As it will cloth you in Imaginations royal attire
And with me you will want to dwell forever
But...

I'm a lover to all
In love with none
A poet's muse never settles for one.
It a friendly wandering stranger
Who loves to flirt a lot.

Note: I'm just a poet trying to communicate feelings😉
