SORRY MOM!, I HAD TO RUN.

I made for home following the spree.
Perhaps must leave since half past three.
I shrivel deep at things of fang
But alas they stroll on my very path.

Cloud your fears! you have taught,
And away I trudge with a gait of war.
Eyes wide, eyes in front.
I hoped the passage wouldn't take long.

Then a form away by a few blocks.
Nothing untamed at the very first blush
A million thanks to a moment's pause,
What seemed sheep was a huffy black dog!

Cloud your fears!, again your voice.
This was the monster face I wore.
Stronger steps, steady throbs.
Intimidation I presume should work.

But a little bark, mom, Is all it takes
to wake the lines of a funeral song.
I had to run!
