A Memorable Tea🫖
It started with a memory
Of lip smacking sweet ginger tea
The throat was soothed the gut at ease
I felt in air a spicy squeeze

I pondered on   the proportion
Milk water sugar aportion
Clear memory I need that tea
How o how do I make for me

Was it I or was it a friend
Was it the vendor at road end
Tea O tea how bout a cuppa
I am a mere fixer upper

As the moment of reckoning
Dawned fine ginger tea beckoning
Washed peeled grated boiled to get juice
In water emanating spruce

Tea leaves added to the simmer
Aroma fresh hope in glimmer
Sugar added slow by tea spoon
Hob turned off while pot covered soon

Warm milk topping was the last in
Stirred the concoction drooling grin
Poured a tumbler to hold tea hot
A first sip to seek that sweet spot

The tea was fine as teas go by
The memory remained in sigh
I would give it another try
Let the rain come down from a high
