SOMEWHERE IN AFRICA
Once upon a time,
I rose in an early morn,
And i glanced through the window ,
Somewhere in Africa.
I decided to take a walk down the street,
But regretted i made such decision.
Hardship and suffering i saw,
Somewhere in Africa.
I saw dreams with fatal accidents,
But no one to help the victims.
I also saw rights trampled upon,
Somewhere in Africa.
I saw people enslaved and taken on the journey of no return.
I also ran for my safety and wept furiously,
Somewhere in Africa.
Poverty, hardship, disdain, totalitarianism,
Amongst others i saw.
I think hope began to fade
Somewhere in Africa.
I stood suddenly and think of what to do,
I raised my head to the heaven,
And called for father's mercy for many places,
Somewhere in Africa.
I returned back home, instill with fear and disdain of what i encountered.
A lifetime memory which became an orature,
Somewhere in Africa.
