I breathe in
a breath as large as a mile
and my lungs -the empty space inside of me expand
as large as my bedroom
as large as this home 🏠
on and on
as large as a mile
but though the empty space within me
has swelled to an astonishingly vast size
it's not large enough to cross the distance
and I find myself still undeniably
separated ...
From you
and you
and her
and them
as I sit here on my 🛏️ bed
patiently waiting
or,at the very least, trying
as I breathe deeply in
and deeply out
only to find that it's not enough
not even a breath as large as mile...🌿
