A twisted road,
a rebellious journey
a challenging code
toward life’s tourney.

Messages get twisted
in the maze of society,
the programming
of the robot piety.

Where some go
with the flow,
others stand up
and say ‘no’.

Seeking a will of freedom,
unity, a shared identity.
Groups stand in protest
of the things they detest.

Where violence
and offensiveness abounds
in the open air
of society’s bounds.

Do we hear the messages
hidden underneath it all,
the screams for change
to allow freedom to reign?

While society plays
judge and jury,
we can open our
minds and hearts.

Listening to the inner
messages to work for change,
fairness, and the like,
for the good to revamp.

Bringing a sense of peace
that will bring life some ease
to slow the defiance
with actions and speech.
