I wonder
If you notice me –
If I am seen
Truly,
By anybody.
Sometimes I blend in
With the background
A sort of camouflage
That prevents me
From being found.
So in a desperate attempt
To stand out,
I exaggerate,
I fixate
On the tiniest things
And yet all it does is
Isolate
Because I find it so hard to
Communicate,
And I get to the point
Where I might just
Evaporate.
Simply fade away
Like water on a summers day.
And every now and then
I wonder.
Will you ever truly see?
I beg and I plead,
For you to simply
Just simply,
Notice me.
