A Cry for Justice and Peace
Land of wood and water, sweet and fair
Where reggae rhythms fill the air
But beneath the surface, a darker tale unfolds
Of crime and violence, young lives grown cold
Gang wars rage like wildfires, leaving scars
Innocent victims, caught in the crosshairs
Mothers weep, fathers mourn, communities torn apart
As the cycle of violence, forever leaves its mark
Politicians speak, of change and reform
But the streets remain, a battleground to conform
Police patrols, a constant presence, yet still
The guns and knives, claim lives, with a deadly will
The people cry out, for justice and peace
An end to the bloodshed, a chance to release
The youth from the grip, of the criminal underworld
A future where hope, can be unfurled
But until that day, the struggle continues
To break the chains, of a cycle that refuses
To let go, of the violence and pain
And find a path, to a brighter Jamaica, again
