Paintbrush
Sometimes I perceive of becoming an artist
With a paintbrush in hand
Dipped in pitch black ink
Typically on those darkest of nights
As the colours of the day repose

Painting the canvas
Smeared with tenebrous depths
Dampness wrapping around so swift
Until the murkiness prevailed

As it drips down my body
It looks satisfying
It reaches upto my blood filled veins
Taking over my body, I start to tremble

The ambience was low and dark
Air so chilled, it hurt on breathing
The stars appeared to diminish
In front of my hazy eyesight

It digs deeper inside
Much profound in colour
Furnishing the skin
With an extra layer of epidermis

That form of distress was unlike any other form of significance
Where the overpowering shade luxuriates
So I shut my eyes and let the darkness encircle me
Like a shadow to all, all memories were long gone
