Standin' 'longside The highway,
Mere inches....... it'd be done,
Dispirited.......tragic love, failed life,
Excruciating conflicts..she'd won...none.

Rendered worthless... down graded,
Devalued, reduced......minimized,
Her mental disabilities...they said,
Were "excuses and bald face lies".

Had those she cared so much for
When she poured her heart out an' cried,
Let out an inkling.... of empathy
Maybe she'd cared more about living life.
