Snowflakes glistening in the moonlight
The quiet and sparkle are mesmerizing
Makes me feel JOY and delight
Snow turns to rain
Drip, drip, drip
The slush makes my mood drain
Slow, slop, crunch
Cold wind whirls, creates ice
Brr, brr, brr
Icy roads, shining cicles
Kids nowadays don't know the thrill
Of waiting for a radio
Or television announcement
Indicating a two-hour delay
Or the best- a snow day!
Some adults want
The winter weather to go away
Not me, I want to go outside and play!
Snow angels and snow forts
Snowballs and snowball fights
Snowmen and Snowwomen
Walks in the deafening
Silence of the snow
Pillows and blankets
Fuzzy warm slippers and jammies
Hot chocolate
A winter's relief fix
All of this the perfect mix
