Sentimental Treasure
A small, intricately carved box
Sits on my shelf, adorned with intricate knots
Its wood is rough and well-worn
But to me, it is a treasure, forever forlorn
This box holds memories, each one dear
Of a time that has long since passed, but still clear
Inside, I keep mementos and keepsakes
Reminders of moments and people, no mistakes
There's a photograph of my grandma, with a smile so bright
A ticket stub from my first concert, a joyous night
A letter from an old friend, filled with love and cheer
All preserved in this box, year after year
This object may seem small and insignificant
But to me, it's invaluable and significant
It holds the past, and all that it entails
