Water and Wisdom
Something simple
She tried to cross the river without getting wet and without using conventional means.
Every day without rest she splashed and fell but never stayed down long.
Every method was well planned yet none succeeded.
Then came along a boy who watched her for a week offering help.
It wasn't exactly conventional so she explained her goal.
They worked together trying to solve the mystery while he remained unaware of her reason.
One day he decided to offer carrying her across the water, an easy solution.
She remained unsure but with few other options, she agreed.
The boy held her on his shoulders and soon they made progress.
But the boy was sinking while the girl remained unaffected.
When they reached the other side it became much clearer to her.
One cannot simply cross a still river without some sacrifice. The wood needed to craft a raft would still be a sacrifice. Using another person to achieve the goal at hand is a sacrifice.
The solution is often easy but the results matter more than the solution. Because sacrifice isn't always harmless and often has a cost. So when trying to cross water without getting wet, remembering the journey can be the best end to a solution even if you need to endure.
Sometimes you will find people willing to take you across the water. It's up to you how you cross it.
