The Bucket List
God created me
Consciously, for me
To fulfill one task;
Taking the soul from the mortal
Immediately upon its death.

For He created me in such a way
As to me being careless for
Thou status upon this world.

I have visited
The poor, who breathed ones last,
Due to hunger.

I've came across
A high ranked president.
Right after a bullet was shot
From that of a republican civilian.

Prior, I ascended back to the heavens
After taking ones soul.
An Angel spoke to me;
'Oh my fellow slave of God,
Even when the Almighty has
Flocked sand with ocean.
Thou has never
Revealed any emotion.'

My lord has send upon humanity
An epidemic.

I ascended back to the heavens.
A chain of angels approached me.
Truly, a beautiful white phenomenon.
I once again praised God.

'Oh my fellow slave of God,
Share with us
A time thou have taken a soul,
Whilst feeling any remorse.'

A vision
Of a grey old lady
Came to mind.
She had suffered long time;
Truly, she became a victim
Of the pandemic.

Right before
I took her soul,
She senced my presence.
As if my silhouette
Was exposed
To the human eye.

She began to speak;
'Oh angel of death,
Has my time come?'

She began staring
Outside the window
Which was complety covered in fog.

As she turned over,
I noticed a piece of paper
Underneath her pillow.
Titled: 'The Bucket List'.

'I dedicated my whole life
To taking care of my dearest'.
She said as she began gasping for air.

'I kept a bucket list,
For I am old and uncapable.
God is calling me,
To Him I am truly faithfull.'

I took her soul.

After fulfilling
My one and only task,
I could not help but take a glance
At that piece of paper.

It was blank.
Completely wrinkled.
I looked up to the old lady,
Her face as white as snow.
Smiling.

Her only purpose in life
Was non other than pleasing others.
Oh how satisfying would it be,
Leaving this world carefree.

For she was a beautiful mortal.
