One time we visited you at your warm tranquil home
we were seated in your living room
whose air was filled with so much love and hope
Maybe you remember, maybe you don't
we were talking, catching up
You looked at us and you felt it
the pain and despair
So in the midst of our conversations
you said something that stuck with me
It was like that one glimmering light in the dark
My ever racing heart slowed down
For the first time in a long while
I felt genuinely cared for
for I had not many people in my life
that would nurturingly give me advice as such
Every time it felt like the end,
I believed and carried hope
that maybe when I was on my dead end
something beautiful and unexpected would happen
I really took it to heart
I leaned on those words much
for I had not many people in my life
that would lovingly give me advice as such
Maybe you didn't notice
You blessed my heart
