I wasnt on socialmedia for months
I didn't text, post or share anything.
All people post is smoking their blunts
pretending to have their life together, lying.

From the fake happiness we see on screen
from the filtered lives they put out.
Just wanting to be noticed, to be seen
as they're wandering about.

Only a few checked up on me
so now I see who my real friends are.
Oh, but how could that be?
it wasn't my girl friends now that's bizarre.

They say we're besties
but couldn't seem to be in contact.
We're all in our twenties
that's a fact.

So why pretend to be there
when you've never been?
Always copying what I wear
with a big mighty grin.

But when trouble comes
their backs they turn.
They crumble like crumbs
I guess, it's a lesson I had to learn.
