they say depression is being sad
but thats the only thing they dont understand
that its more then being sad and a little mad
it just comes in waves which are unplanned

depression is not the same as sadness
its a wave of broken hearts
its a pain that seems endless
its a feeling that tears people apart

depression is more then being sad
its more then being hurt or a little mad
depression is the reason i cry
depression is the reason i dont try

depression is not a feeling
more like an endless world of pain without healing.
