the key
I am a key
I am also a lock
teeth and tumbler
latched in jamb
never to be opened by human hand

even the sweetest password
that shook the springs
even the gentlest knock
did not disturb me on my knees

and yet the Key turned
by word, touch and spirit
I did not know there was a key
Nor to what I was locked
I only thought was to fix
every flaw I was born with

and yet the door flung wide
how dark is the place I hide
if it was only my mind
I might have known it to change it

I was blind to my spirit
until you became my key

you didn't tell me who i am
you showed a soul
that I am
