so, my birthday was just yesterday

and usually this is a wonderful thing,
something I look forward to every year,
a day to celebrate

except this year was different

don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad,
until my friends forgot about my birthday,
or when nobody was interested
in the invite to my party

it wasn’t all too terrible until
I had to go through the school day
feeling like shit because
i can’t even take the day to celebrate

yeah, im complaining,
I know it could be worse,
but when even my best friend forgot
it just made me feel like dirt
