The Time has changed
They say the times have changed
and have the minds of people so,
But hardly I believe all this
after what all I go through...
Said it is men and women are equal now
in everything that you see,
Then why you give us a quota
if equality is what it is meant to be...
No matter how smart I am
no matter how good is my perk,
Still I will be judged
by the amount of my housework...
You look down at parts of my body
all that go below the neck,
And if I correct you for that
you say it was a compliment..
Why talking about intimacy
is no more a choice,
I prefer not to discuss it with a stranger
and I have a say of voice...
You are called hardworking
if you prefer to stay late hours,
Not considered efficient enough
if you finish in time all your chores...
You are still told every time
what you must not wear,
For consequences of your dress length
you may have to bear...
