Heavy Time
Sometimes I forget how heavy life is.
With this life being my bench press
The only weights being the past
And it covers the bar of the present
Sometimes it’s like a bored manipulative person
Reaching out
“Remember this.”
“Why’d you do that.”
With the consequences they bring along
“What if this happens?”
But what if my biggest consequence is falling for the biggest trap
My mind.
It’s a place I’ve burnt down and have rebuilt before
But it doesn’t change the fact it’s a place people choose to ignore
Insure the open door for other people
Greet them with open arms and a smile
While the overgrowing
Endless flowing
Weight drops you to your knees
And the people that “love” you…flee.
While the tears in your heart scream
“I’m needy, please see me, and appreciate what I’ve tried. To do”
People will walk by like you’re another air molecule
They won’t pick up a clue, because they don’t care.
For the past eleven years there’s always been a hole with my name on it
And for the past fourteen years I’ve been called “Milo”
“A merciful souldier”
I was told that at a young age...
With this life being my bench press
