The Curve That Set Things Straight
I was walking down the street today,
Cold rain was pouring from a sky, dull grey;
People were walking with heads bowed down,
All looked sad, each wore a frown.
After a while I saw the sun break through
Those depressing clouds making all feel blue;
It shone upon each face on the street
And instantly people were more upbeat.
No more frowns on foreheads, not a trace,
Just a pleasant curve grew on each face,
And as it grew, laughter was heard
From a child as cheerful as a little bird.
Parents couldn’t help but smile in reply
Instead of letting out a frustrated sigh;
They held their hands, delighted to be there
Sharing sunshine and smiles without a care.
