lost seconds at last minutes
#TheUnrequitedLove

The Bride has come in,
The girl before you isn't me,
do you see her too?
Smiling elegantly, walking gracefully,
there she stands poised.

Don't you remember,
the day at the park when I laughed like a maniac, after I tripped and you lift me in your arms?

The priest is reciting the vows,
She is listening patiently and looking down, maybe she is shy,
atleast now, realize that it is not me in front of you.

Don't you remember, the way I clinged to you, When you accepted my proposal, shutting your mouth with a kiss because I did not want to hear anything else?

The priest is asking for her consent, she is hesitating, probably living this moment to the fullest,
she says yes and now your consent,
you say yes!

As far as I remember, the way I coaxed you, when your parents met with an accident and your mother was on her deathbed, you weren't so easy to persuade, you were so despicable yesterday.

I left you to arrange for her cremation in the cold night with your overcoat and today I am sitting here as a mess witnessing her last wish come true, just as you said, living the last minute of our true love.

I know you were not involved in the accident but my heart refuses to believe that, it says your hurt eyes just don't recognize me. Where did we go wrong?
