Last Embrace
#WritcoPoemPrompt125
And the vibe is perplexing you towards the end of the race,
In a lonely, stony location,
Because the missing piece is bonded in a certain place,
In a faraway, poison-free constellation,
one not really here,
but in my mind,
and it’s there I see your face.
I’m trying to recall.
Trying to retrace-
The feel upon my fingertip when last I touched your skin.
An electric recognition
of a soul entwined in mine
And youthful expectations,
That we never tried to find.
An perplexed as I may be
Every day, without you here-
The stacks of time make nothing
But a melancholy memory
of my lost loves last embrace.
