Lives stories,
Of slaves,
Of heroes,
Of fighters,
Of nationalists.

In this vast,
Contains tears,
Of children,
Of women,
Of men,
Of a population.

In this vast,
Bears the degrading,
Of culture,
Of traditions,
Of beliefs,
Of norms.

The Atlantic Ocean, they said,
Not just a powerful spread of water,
But a powerful spread of people.
