Buried in the Earth
lies immense serenity
The deepest fabric of understanding
decays away slowly
So soon must we discover our past
With shovels and questions
We eagerly await the opportunity
digging deeper
Yet when brought to the surface
Things are alive again, for a moment
The past itself sings
Though it should sleep
Who are we to ask questions?
When we could simply look around
Pay attention, and record
Our present
