Late Night Reflections
In the depths of darkness, late at night,
I lie in bed and ponder life's cruel plight.
Reflecting on the loss of my dear best friend,
Whose life tragically came to an end.

A soul so vibrant, a spirit so bright,
He found solace in the shadows of the night.
But the demons that haunted him deep inside,
Led him on a path where hope couldn't abide.

With heavy heart, I recall his farewell,
As he silently succumbed to his own personal hell.
Why couldn't I see the pain behind his eyes?
Why couldn't I offer the solace he sought to find?

Another friend lost, taken too soon,
In a truck accident beneath the moon.
Her laughter echoes, still haunting my mind,
A reminder of a life so unfairly confined.

But what hurts the most, as I lay here alone,
Is how some 'friends' turned their heart into stone.
Whispering words of judgment and disdain,
As if our lost loves were merely a stain.

Yet in the stillness of these nights so long,
I'm reminded that life is a fleeting song.
Tomorrow holds no guarantee or vow,
Only this moment can we cherish and avow.

Let's not take for granted the time we possess,
With those we hold dear, let's openly express.
The love we feel, the memories we share,
For we never know when we're no longer there.

So let our hearts be filled with gratitude and care,
As we embrace the beauty in our lives, rare.
Let's live like there's no tomorrow to borrow,
And cherish each day, forgetting the sorrow.

In the darkness of night, let's find our light,
And hold onto love, with all of our might.
Tell those we cherish, that they are adored,
For in this fragile existence, love is the reward.

So as I lay here, reflecting on life's pain,
I vow to live fully, and not in vain.
To honor their memories, and make them proud,
To find solace in the whispers of the crowd.

For in the stillness, late at night,
I'm reminded that life is a precious flight.
Let's grasp each moment, embrace the strife,
And truly live, for we're here today, gone with life.
