Two stars in motion
Dancing in rhythmic repetition
Revolving around each other,
Like crystal diamonds flashing on a chandelier.
Their soft light dims with each rotation
They are two souls, so hopelessly empty
Desperate to fill the void inside their hearts,
Numbing themselves to feel something
Lusting to heal what is forever broken apart.
Every motion of the stars
And every whisper of their celestial voices,
Parades deep regret, a million different choices
Grazing heat and light over irreversible marks,
Brings once untarnished images to mind,
We're two stars joined to one, but
Our light is only just alive,
We're going down, our hearts will still die.
Life goes on, so must I
And you and I together, bleeding on each other
We're just two broken hearts
Trying to mend the wounds of love with desire
And still we're more empty than before.
