Don't try to put on the mask of niceness
By exchanging pleasantries infront of me
like the endless abyss of an ocean
I accept that you are a sweet creature
but I hope, oh how I hope you won't fail me
the peace that I get now terrifies me
and the battles ahead intrigues me
but in the end I hope it will be in brisk pace
I know I had to pull it in reigns
My tomorrow for today and my day after
double think before landing into my territory
I take no chances with predators
i have laced my heart with landmines.
their blunt and brazen words hit me like a wrecking ball
I'll spread my wings like a phoenix
And rise from the ashes of my pain and darkness
I've been here a thousand times
trying, falling and failing
and suddenly it strikes
like a command from the gods
Everything became crystal clear
Everyone liven up a bit
I felt the midas touch
mesmerized in a shackles of morale
all my pyre of pain gone
gone and never to be seen again.
Now I no longer have
Reasons to run but, reasons to stay
Reasons to hide but, reason to reveal
reason to cry but, reasons to laugh
because I know now that
my knight in shining armor is me.
