O Jerusalem
O JERUSALEM

Beautiful was the city and its firs,
Firs and cedars found only in Lebanon,
A beautiful empire with beautiful people,
They really made for good companion.

I embarked into the gates of heshbon
And was awed by the cities ivory,
Giant fields of roses and hibiscus,
With an astute military and calvary.

How gorgeous were the towers of Gilead,
A city built on the deeds of the prophets,
Apostles of old who were fervent,
In subjecting the enemy to torment.

Life brought me also the dunes of Judah,
Where I studied the old covenant,
Therein contained the ancient scrolls,
Of which only contained archives and remnant.

The last part of the voyage brought me to Bashan,
Where I was welcomed to the vast ranches,
To see the bulls and lovely palms,
Glorious in height with enlarged branches.

After my sojourns in the glorious lands,
I have come to the feet of the monarch of Salem,
I beseech that your corridors be open,
That I might enter your gates O Jerusalem.
