little legs running around
the courtyard echoes with their laugh
the colours bright and brighter
with only one shade kept filling the gaps
the sky with its art work
mesmerises the little life's
they wander around
catching butterflies, fireflies
lighting their world like a guiding light
believing in all the tales
fighting for just a pencil case
better was everything from that life

as i closed my eye the play called life
kept spilling out my hands
a world with every possible shades,
butterflies that dance around
is no where to be found
the innocence they feed on
forbidden and lost in this world of mine
colours fading away from the sky
I search for that guiding light
lost in this phase of my life .
