I like to cuddle up to you while you read a book. I love listening to your heart beat as you flip through the pages. The slow but steady beat or it's gradually quickening pace as you get to the climax. Maybe you read about the hero saving the heroine or maybe the reason for the actions of the villain. I never did care to pay attention to the words you read out to me. I'd listen to each flutter and stutter of your heartbeat as you sighed in relief. Maybe the loved one finally found closure or the lovers reunited I never did remember. Funny how time passes when you are with the one that makes your heart skip a bit. You know though I never listened to a word you read to me I could always somehow tell the ending of a book from the steady strum of your heart strings. I love each cuddle because I can finally feel your emotions as you read. I want to be the one who writes a story that makes your heart show me such things again.
