The Melanin Curse
Since the day before the first,
The day I was discovered by some
A monkey to some, a thief to some,
Born to be proud of suffering and sniffing,
I sniffed a teasing scent of hate.

An innocent shade, bothered by a glitter,
That's lucifer's effortless grin,
Look at him, scared like hell in the corner.
When it's dark, he's just like me,
Then I flip the switch, he's in disguise.

I'm darkness, they are light.
I'm a stealing skin in a soulless crowd,
What can I steal? Their contrite?
They don't possess, such, pride.
Their empty pockets only have money.

I am a black blemish in a white fabric
I can't mimick it, they'll spot me.
They fed me hatred, but I'm allergic,
They think I'm just dirt? They lost me.
I'm melanins vengeance, a good curse.
