Mt. Retribution
Towering, glowering, modern man:
reaver of the snowy sides
of bleak mountains,
sheer and high!
Ride the chair without a care,
hop off on your board,
marvel at a view so rare,
(before your soul is gored)
You pushed aside the feeble one,
(you know you're better, after all!)
all that matters is your fun!
(though not a soul can stand your gall!)
Now enthroned on mountain ledge!
Feeling like a god at last,
down you go over the edge!
your final visions rushing past!
Icy slopes and wobbly knees!
Blizzard like a billion bees!
You cannot see through winter breeze,
the gods are blinded to your pleas,
and so you crash into the trees...
Demon tumbles down the slope,
snaps in twain and dies...
No hope.
