The Sleep I Crave, Cruelly Just Out Of Finger Tip Touch
Entering A Dark Passageway Leading To Dread & Destruction
Dreading The Evaporation Of My Calmness & Control
To Be Replaced By The Inevitable Act Of Self Inflicted Destruction.

Thankfully, most of us in our lifetime will not experience Clinical Depression as outlined above.

However many of us, especially during our teenage years, will experience ups and downs, twists and turns in our moods and emotions! but this is both inevitable and understandable.

Others will experience dark days particularly if we have lost a loved one or a relationship has come to and end, this will result in a feeling of being depressed but it is not depression!

Clinical Depression is a complex illness, the symptoms vary from person to person, mainly we will feel empty and not in control of our emotions.
We may eat too much or too little, sleep more than we should or have difficulty sleeping, we will lose interest in our personal appearance and be withdrawn from those around us.

There is no shame in being depressed, sadly many view it as being a failure, which of course it is not!! There are many successful people in business, sport and show business who experience depression, but with support are able to lead a normal life.

Ignore those who offer pointless unqualified advice or tell you to pull yourself together!!! find yourself someone trustworthy you can confide in ,and who will understand you, their support will be invaluable in getting you back onto the road of recovery which may require professional intervention but not necessarily medication!

Remember! you are not alone in experiencing these feelings!
