life is nothing but a long walk to the grave, so why do we still walk all the way;
I feel my journey nears the end for in the horizon I see a pyre welcoming me to burn me away.
My eternal flame is a reminiscent of my childhood for I no more feel a warmth inside me;
I'm alone in this world of broken dreams for this pain is mine to bear not for the world to see.
My soul is besotted to the thought of drowning in oblivion and forever contemplating my hearts true desire;
every drop of blood on my wrist makes me realize that there is nothing left in me but the ashes of a burnout fire.
The lucid harmony of darkness plays in my burnout heart for alone I stand with tightened fists;
veins subdued by skin emerge as I gaze upon the Rakhi on my wrist.
