A World Out of Sight
Beneath the waves, a world unknown,
A vast expanse of life unshown.
Where creatures strange and wondrous thrive,
In waters dark and deep they dive.

The Lophiiformes, a glowing light,
Lures prey into its gaping bite.
The giant squid, a fearsome sight,
With tentacles that flail and fight.

There, coral reefs of rainbow hues,
Are home to creatures, bright and new.
And in the blackness of the deep,
The bioluminescent creatures creep.

The ocean floor, a world apart,
Where hydrothermal vents do start.
And strange, alien-like lifeforms cling,
To rocks that spew out steaming springs.

A world so vast, so dark, so deep,
A secret world that we can't keep.
But still we marvel at its light,
This world that's hidden out of sight
