she had, he had power
Ryan Matthews taught me that there was power in my silence
that words held such prominence but so did the lack of it
he held me down whilst all i saw were the eclipse of the colours
and he had his own paper doll
in that one moment
i couldn't feel my tongue and so no words came out
and he advanced onto his prey
he had the power in his hands
my silence gave him power
and he held onto the power with an ironlike fist
and i was motionless
he taught me there was power in my silence
but who's power exactly?
because it trickled from inside me and spilled within him
and i was a prisoner who did not protest
who did not move
and a day later i attended Church
as i always do.
