Golden years are time to slow down.
When life, sometimes, can make us frown.
The joints begin to ache,
life can feel like a fake.

The struggle to continue,
the fight to go on,
refusing to allow the pains
to slow them down.

Slowly loosing ability,
slowly loosing agility,
can make one feel
life’s passing them by.

The driving determination
on just how much farther
they can live and carry on
before going to the place out yonder.

We will all live, we will all die,
life on earth is not a constant.
So, whatever you wish to leave behind,
let it be considered in the present.
