TRUST
Trust is having confidence in someone but Trust in God means absolute dependence on God and in God. You can't trust whom you don't believe in.
The reason why we call someone trustworthy means such persons have proven to be firm, loyal, honest over the years of meeting such persons.
God is our creator , We are all His creation. If you don't trust your Creator, who do you want to trust as His creation.
If you , the clay do not trust the Potter( God) then who are you going to trust?
"Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding, In all your ways, acknowledge him and He will direct your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6
Oftentimes we lean on our understanding, strength, intellect and skills more than trusting in God
TRUST IN THE WORD OF GOD - How much do you know what the Bible is saying about you, your life, your situation?
How much do you know the purpose of God for you on this earth?
How much do you study and meditate on his word?
The entrance of His word gives light that is, illumination, understanding and wisdom.
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4:12
TRUST IN THE PROMISES OF GOD
What has God promised you this year or the previous year? How much do you know the Promises of God for you in the Bible ?
If not, Then I would advise you to study and meditate on the word of God
WAIT ON GOD
Imagine you travelling at 160km/h on the highway and in the course of your trip, you met a standstill just a mile to your destination, will you be able to travel at 160km/h in the traffic? Of course not.
But this is what we do , when waiting on the Lord, we want to arrive at the outcome / results and not wanting to go through the process which is needed for your growth and to prepare you for the challenges that may rise up at the outcome.
"Wait on the Lord, He will strengthen your heart. Wait, I say On the Lord. "
I was trusting God for a need , I got anxious and nervous in the process till my heart became heavy but the moment I decided to trust God and focus on God mainly without shifting my focus to the distractions of my needs not forthcoming, I got it before the end of that waiting period.
I will advise that while waiting on God, Please do not shift your focus from God to the challenges staring at you in the face. You will be tempted to look in the direction of your challenges but do not look in that direction.
You can't trust in God if you don't believe that He sent His son, Jesus Christ to die for your sins.
Has the world labelled you a misfit because of your sins, are you being condemned by the World and a condemning voice ?
Don't listen to that voice or stay in the state of condemnation, Come unto Jesus, accept Him as your Lord and Saviour and let Him give you beauty for your ashes. I pray that the Lord gives you the grace to trust Him at all times.
