Love in silence
In the garden of my heart, a silent flower blooms,
Its petals hold a love, in whispered, sweet perfumes.
A love that dances softly on the edges of the light,
Yet knows the touch of shadows, and the quiet of the night.

She is the sun's own daughter, a radiance unfurled,
But I, a simple gardener, in her vibrant world.
Her laughter is the melody that birds in springtime sing,
A symphony of joy that sets the heavens ringing.

Yet in this tender heartache, where her light does not alight,
I find a solace knowing, friendship is our rite.
For though my love may echo in a chamber sealed and tight,
Her presence in my life turns every wrong to right.

So I'll tend to this affection, in the corners of my soul,
Cherish her from afar, let her happiness be my goal.
For a love unrequited is not a love that's spurned,
But a lesson in the beauty of the love that I have learned.
